It started as a series of scrap fabric DIY projects, the aprons I wore in my videos over the years have gained quite a bit of attention. With the expertise of a professional seamstress, I can finally answer your request and launch the Common Goods Pottery Apron Collection. These aprons are a perfect blend of comfort, style, and functionality.

Unlike the more popular pottery aprons in the market, I opted for a thick, 100% cotton fabric rather than the stiffer waxed canvas or other waterproof polyester-based materials. As potters, we have to deal with enough irritabilities in our craft. I find that a soft, well-draping fabric that contours my body can significantly brighten my spirits during a long day hunching over the wheel. The fabric's thickness also provides enough protection against clay splashes, preventing them from permeating through.

This one-size design offers adjustability to suit various body shapes while draping beautifully. We increased the length of the neck tie and waist ties substantially to make sure there's enough room for adjustment. We also experimented a lot with the angling of the side of the chest piece. And finally arrived at a design that provides enough coverage for someone with a fuller chest, while doesn't look odd and saggy on someone who has a slim upper body.

It's available in two natural colours, Terra Cotta and Moss, inspired by the materials we work with daily. I'm thrilled to share this labour of love with all of you.
