Part of the sandstone collection, this platter is inspired by pre-Columbian ceramics. Carefully intertwining layers of clays replicate the look of sedimentary rock. This collection highlights the characteristics of different clay bodies. The lengthy process of creating these pieces also serves as a tribute to time. It reminds us of nature's process of creating the materials potters use every day.
Fully unglazed. Can be use for fruits and floral arrangements.
Approx 18.5" wide x 5" h
Each Common Goods pot is hand-thrown or handbuilt and glazed individually in our Toronto Studio. Slight variations between pieces are to be expected due to the handmade process. Our pieces will show the marks of the process and could have slight imperfections compared to mass-produced goods. All glazed wares are microwave, dishwasher, and food safe unless indicated otherwise. Hand washing is recommended to prevent dulling the surface, or chipping the more delicate pieces.
